Youll dig this one. During the late 60's, most Television Programs, and Commercials were live. No pre-recorded programs. There were some obvious problems with this method, such as no retakes, and Bloopers were a regular occurrence. This is no blooper! This guy was just VERY PO'ed with his Boss, and told it like it is. The language this guy used was missed by the camera crew, and the producer, and got on the air, but only once. Its got some language in it, so be aware of that. Way back when in the early 70's there was a dealer called Spartan Dodge in San Jose that did comercials like that only without the @!#*. They would smack the cars with a sledge hammer and discount for the dents. Very crazy.
That is the funniest thing I have heard in a long time! That was one pissed off guy...I bet he quit right after the camera stopped rolling! Hilarious! Thanks, Forever-27, for starting my day off with that laugh! David
That's got to be a gag reel. I remember seeing that same pitchman on L.A. TV back in the 60's....don't remember his name. Ralph Williams owned a Ford place out in the San Fernando Valley and did his own commercials.... "Hi, friends, Ralph Williams here........." Turned out he was a big crook, eventually went bankrupt.
Reminds me Cal Worthington in his Chevrolet Tv ads. If Cal cant make a deal with you on a new Car or truck, hed eat a big.
