I was watching the news the other morning. Al Roker was on saying that Cadillac is bringing out their first factory wagon ever! I know, I meant to put this in Station Wagons in the news and media, but I posted in the wrong spot. I apologize. Here's an article: http://www.leftlanenews.com/2008-cadillac-bls-wagon.html
I saw that new wagon story, too. I also heard that it will be a European model, not sold in North America. Why they do that, I'll never understand...I've seen so many message boards where people will see European models of American cars and will be begging, even writing to the automakers, to make those models available in North America. A GM board I also visit (is that cheating??? ) had a very long thread about China's version of the Buick Park Avenue, which won't be available in North America. The car seems very nice and the people on the board were just furious that Buick won't bring it here. :banghead3:
Saturn brought the Opel Astra, which everyone seemed to want. Saturn delivered, but no one seemed to want to buy the car. I assume the same thing happened with the old Merkur line...
Cadillac really should bring that wagon over to the States. That car could steal some sales away from the import wagons.
I think it would be a big hit here. Not everyone wants to cruise around like some sorta rap star or drug dealer in an Escalade.
The BLS wagon came out in October 2007 here in Holland. Looks like a nice car. I don't know anything about the sales figures, I can only say I still have to see the first one live.
that "Cadillac" There's a customizing shoppe in the zipcode where I work, that "made" one of these,or something that looks a lot like it,by putting Escalade parts on a Chevy. It's a crossover thing,I forget what they call it.They recently gave it a new name, the Chevy version.
