From the Lambrecht Chevrolet Auction in Nebraska. Apparently there were 50 unsold cars from new stored in the trees.

Here's a "brand new" 1979 Impala wagon. 1.7 *Very Rough* miles.

Still has price sticker in it though, but interior and exterior are very rough.

There's a "new" Vega wagon in there as well. Just as rough...

Too bad it wasn't stored inside. Can you imagine what a brand new wagon would have gone for if it was mint and clean from being garaged all this time?

    Say what ?!?!?!

When are people going to learn, that "outside" is NOT a storage space suitable for cars??? Not sure I'd want any of those cars. Would probably prefer someone's old beater. No, they haven't been going anywhere. No, they didn't get "all worn out". BUT ! They did get all rusty. Dirty. oh, and "all worn out". Looks like that one wagon alone, is going to need a major restoration, just to be drivable. Can't imagine the drivetrain faired any better than that interior did. And that interior needs a bit of work done.:49:

It will be interesting to see what these cars bring at auction.

    Agreed. What a shame.

Here's an even dirtier 1978 Pontiac Grand LeMans Safari.

I totally agree! That dealer that parked tons of brand new and trade-in cars on his open farm fields rather than discount them to sell them (dumbass of the century award winner in my book).

Tires rotted and flattened, floors rotted out, axles locked from rust, interior molded, mouse-eaten, and wet.

Even being a low-option Impala, it was still a brand new car that someone could have USED. But no, it didn’t sell at his "set sales price", and he refused to discount ANY vehicle below what he felt it was worth, and instead just parked it in the sun/snow/rain to rot.

Way to go dumbass! What a freaking waste!

Videos of the Lambrecht cars being lined up for auction.

    - Some nicer ones here

    - Look at this row of trucks…..man! She keeps saying how many good demo derby cars there would be. Makes me ill… Lots of trade-in cars… Oh and the poor 63 Impala convertible…

    - The local country club is getting in on making money on parking. Nice…

I still want to know, where did he get the $ from to hoard new and near new trade ins for how many years? I refuse to believe a little hick town car dealership made that much $ to do so.

The guy was a Chevy dealer from 1946 through 1992. Obviously, he kept various unsold inventory (he only kept a few current models in stock at any given time), and face it, he paid for them, and could do whatever he wanted to with them. Who are we to chastise the owner? He stayed in business into his 70s, so he was doing something right, right? So you have a '79 wagon with two miles on it. If it is so important, go buy it and restore it! you have to admit that the vast majority of cars he kept were everyday, pedestrian models with very little collector value. He kept the good ones ('58 Cameo, '63 Impala ragtop, '65 C-10 stepside, three Corvettes) inside most if not all of the time. Does anyone really care about a '79 Chevy wagon with two miles on it? And face it, a lot of the sedans and wagons are going to be derby material.

Jeez, some of you guys think the owner should be hung from a tree and stabbed with pitchforks, then burned at the stake! What if this were YOUR collection??? Could be a LOT worse! He could have called a crusher out and had a guaranteed $400 per vehicle, then NO one would have a shot at any of these. There is a provision to bid online, gentlemen. Step up and save one or two.

Is this for real? What a shame. Those cars missed out on a lifetime of fun. The wagons should've been full of kids and dogs, like any good wagon. Never any trips to the ball field or beach for these poor souls. How sad!

Yeah, this is the same thing I posted awhile back with the '64 Bel-Air wagon. I just didn't know about this one though.

I haye to agree with Patrick80. We all do what we want with our own toys. As sad as this seems at least some of the yehicles will be sayed.
Many will cuss and cry. Many will be happy with the next toy they get at this auction. Some will wonder what they were thinking as they haul home rust buckets too far gone to enjoy. And still others will talk of the stupid choices the owner made oyer the years. These are not the first yehicles to be wrecked or ruined and not the last.
