Boyd Coddington Dead didn't know where to post this. a hot rod legend dead at age 63 http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/02/27/state/n103701S80.DTL
yup...love him or hate him...he was a legend of sorts. I had the chance to sit and have dinner with him last year...he was not much different than he was on TV.. ..I had hoped he would be ....shall we say...nicer?
The artsies always have an 'edgie' thing. All the 'nice' goes on the cars. People skills ain't a priority. Not many races end a 63 YPP (years per person), but he lived it well.
Boyd Not one of my favorite guys. There's a reason everyone went to FOOSE. I have heard Chip is the real deal. And Foose has more talent in his right thumb than BC had in his hateful body. Plus Dwayne is a D!CK! I know from more than just the show... Just BC was in the right place at the right time... JMHO Mike
ya know i,ve heard and read over the years the same thing that he was a ummm errr well a richard head,, and its a shame to have the talent he has but a little short on people skills,, but on the same note i,m not real big on the commercialization of the name stuff and what i mean is the other day the mac tool guy had the new flyer and it was full foose themed tool boxes and jesse james blah, blah, blah west coast customs etc, etc,,,but foose is what ive heard a decent real guy and his fame did,nt take over his ego,,,i dont mean any dis respect to boyd by anymeans just a curious observation if you will
on the topic of FOOSE...he's going to be at the ... ...'BC classic and custom auto show'...up here in Abbotsford BC.. ..April 26 only!! if any of you can get across the border??!?!?!
