For a bit of international flavour . My name is Ian and I am a loooooooooooong time stationwagon owner. Been a member of the stationwagon.com yahoo group since 2000/2001, can't remember. My current wagon is listed in my sig, but my previous wagons are: 1983 Holden Commodore SL 3.3 auto. 1997 Mazda 121 Metro miniwagon 1.3 manual 1983 Mazda 323 wagon 1.5 manual 19?? Mazda 1300 wagon, parts car for 323 1991 Subaru Leonie GL 4wd lowroof wagon 1.8 auto 1995 Holden Commodore Acclaim wagon 3.8 auto. Not bad for 10 years .
Welcome to the forum Ian. Do you have any pictures of you previous wagons? I also had a 1991 Subaru wagon and it was the Loyale model and was FWD.
Welcome Ian!!! I just wanted to state for some friends here (you know who you are ) that the great looking Holdens are GM-cars.... Sorry Ian for disrupting your thread! But I do agree, great cars and show us some pictures!
He'll find out if he gets a Fairmont. We'll tell him about FordSix and all the power he can get without the fuel expense.
Who's been thread mining? This thread is older then my daughter! Still around, been having a number of issues with computer, family, money and everything else it seems. All seem to be good now. Still have the Verada, thought about selling it a couple of times but not worth it really. Now own a 2003 Chrysler Grand Voyager SE minivan, yeah I know but it suits our needs and is legally a station wagon. The Verada will now be pampered and turned into a project car, when I find the money for mods.
Welcome !!!! Glad you found us..so now don't forget us.. and help us to keep this forum going strong. Wagons 4 ever
This must be the unoffical, where's ian thread! Thanks stormin norman. Update on the wagon front, we traded the Verada in for a Mitsubishi Colt a few months ago as the Verada was starting to wear out doing 30km a day. So at the moment I'm stationwagon less, hence my lack of posting here, and will be looking at getting rid of the minivan in the next year or so and getting a compact(?) dualcab pickup. Currently looking at getting a mid '80s Commodore wagon and turning it into a track toy, pending the all important bank balance!
Don't worry if you've got one or not for now. More ears to ground on more continents from wagon fans is great networking. We've had a few new Aussies join in lately, which may help you out for parts, etc.
I forgot about this thread, again! Can a mod/admin merge the other thread I started about my pending return to this one? Will post photos if/when I get it.
