I have a col old bike i'm trying to restore and it have a basic single speed hub that you find on most cruiser bikes. I took apart the hub and now it won't 'catch' the gear until about 3 pedal revolutions later and when you pedal backwards to 'brake', its the same thing. I can post pictures but there is a geared shaft>matching coupler>metal washer disks which are slotted differently and the bearing. What am i missing?
