Poor kid. The long defunct Cleveland police auto theft unit is hot on the job out looking for it. I'll be on the lookout but it was probably taken for body parts, it was bound to happen. I wouldn't park anything but a rental car where it was taken from, the '79 olds Cutlass 2 doors are real popular down in the big city. It will either be stripped or be driving around with a full Chester Cheetah Cheeetos body wrap and 24" wheels. http://fox8.com/2017/12/22/all-one-woman-wants-for-christmas-is-her-stolen-classic-car-returned/
Let's hope for the best. Maybe this young lady will be reunited with her wagon. Let's all keep our eyes and ears open. Longroofs Rule!
Any of you back in that local area, please post any updates to this story that you hear/see or read about. Thanks.
That's what I'm afraid of with Babe...it'll be gone, so some asshat tweekie can part her out for a quick fix, or someone just needs the drivetrain and trashes the rest.
Vehicle theft numbers may actually be going down, what with all the packages the low-lifes can nab off your front porch.......
Maybe the thieves will return it after they realize the back windows don't roll down? This seems like more of a joy ride, there's a nice car let's steal it kind of thing than anything. I'm sure these were big in chop shops like 25 -30 years ago. I don't see a lot of hardened car thieves searching these out for parts. There are a lot more desirable cars with easier to fence parts than these anymore.
If it was stolen for parts, it was because someone has a like one. But I do agree, it sounds like a joyride/robbery use on the wagon.
