I'm a member on the FordSix.com forums. The man who owned it and his Classic Inlines parts company passed away yesterday. He was not only a retailer, but also behind re-engineering components for Ford inline 6 engines. He will be missed for his talents and skills, as well as his passion for the restoration and preservation of the Hobby. I just wanted to pass this on to our members for information. Many members on FordSix are closely connected as friends and racing competitors to this fine man, and his insistence on doing his best around the world for the hobby. http://fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=73066 His Classic Inlines site: http://classicinlines.com/
That is sad news indeed. I have perused the site before, and it is an excellent source. I have been a Ford inline six owner for only a short time and have been thinking of modifying for more power instead of going the traditional V8 route. My condolences to his family and friends, of which there must be many. Thank you for posting.
Damn. I've dealt with him the couple times I needed something for a customer's car when I couldn't find it at the local PaP. A little expensive but what are you gonna do when you can't find it elsewhere?
Hopefully, I expect the family will keep it running until someone picks it up. He's one of the few who stepped in to keep the mighty Sixes humming, for the Ford fans. Its worth paying a bit more to get the right parts. I still have to order my Cam, and related bits and pieces.
I'm so sorry about this Norm, he sounds like a great guy. Condolences to his family and circle of friends.
Wow; sad to hear this. I worked with Mike on some of his performance exhaust system projects. Great guy; he will be missed. Prayers sent.
