Any body know any thing about these?

I won't pay even close to what he's asking, nor am I going to go over and get it running for the guy but I am interested and will watch this ad till the last day and through a stupid low ball offer in on it...if it's still around. Kind of a dice roll this one.

I can't see where 6 grand was spent but as the seller states..he is not a car person. That front signal lenz will be a b**** to find I'm sure, also looks like damage to the fender also and have to crawl under it to look for rust

Would be a cool pudel jumper IMO to drive to work and back, then I could start some things on the Crewzer.

That is a cool looking little ride and RWD to boot! Would make a great little driver, even though it is a slushomatic 4 banger. In something like that, I would really prefer a standard tranny, just to help get it moving.

All I can offer on that is, when I had the car lot, it was common knowledge that the early FWD Mitsu engines AND trannies were problem prone. I know nothing about the earLIER RWD's. I'm kind of looking for a DD and have settled on looking for a Buick Century, Olds Ciera or Pontiac 6000 wagon. They are FWD but that's not a bad thing in the snow. And...they are great lasting cars with great engines that are easily fixed if something goes wrong. :2cents:

Tedy, I had a 1975 Hatch that I bought for $500, with MPI picking up the new paint and bodywork. Ran great and traded it for a new 1981 Fairmont Futura wagon. They gave me diddly for it. But it ran fine.

Oh yeah, I'd be bringing the floor jack:floor_jack:

I sent the seller a email, my main question was...was the gas tank full or empty when he let it sit and stongly mentioned not to try starting it with any of the fuil in the tank. Told him that after I said, (pollitly:yup:)...bla,bla, With out knowing if it runs now I am gambleng big time and what ever work done in the past means nothing and went on to say, if the car has not sold by the time your ad expires I'll offer $100, but I still have to see it etc.

    I did do a polite letter:yup:

I did say to the seller,,,no runny, 1 hundy, BUT if he can show me a runny I'd offer more hundy:yup:

Seriously though, If it ain't running it's not really worth anything to me. I'm not going to bring a battery, fresh gas, etc to get it running for a seller to then have hi maybe say,,,I want more now, or I think I'm going to keep it.

That is one of the best looking imports ever IMO. There's one in my neighborhood. In Japanese speak it's a Mitsubishi Galant. Dodge Colt and probably Galant in Canada.

Dodge Colt and... Plymouth Cricket in Canada. I had the Cricket version. BUT! The Gallant families in Atlantic Canada have some gorgeous daughters (my 2nd wife). um um.

Those wagons didn't sell very well in the states. I don't remember seeing many of them even when they were just out. IIRC, they were mechanically related to the Plymouth Arrow......

Gee Krash, we didn't get that model here either. Looks like a good competitor for the 4-banger sports market, back then. What engine was in that?

It was a rear-drive model, same as that Colt wagon. I think it started out with a 1600 cc 4-banger (only 4-cyl's available in the car), I think later it had a 2000, and then the 2600 balance shaft 4-cyl that Mitsubishi was famous for....
