Hi, I would like to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Bart from Holland and i'm currently driving a '77 LTD Country Squire. (had a Plymouth Volare before this one) here it is: It's an old picture from my phone, not it has the nice hood ornament and wheelhubs. If there are more LTD over here, i would like to share information! BR. B.
to the wagon train, Bart. Nice wagon! For a small country you guys have a LOT of American iron over there! We have many members from Holland here. Enjoy the forum!
Hello all.....decalpro here from Lebanon, Indiana. The moniker comes from many years of sales and marketing in the decal business.....primarily the large format advertising graphics seen on tractor/trailer rigs. I traveled Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. Now retired. I've owned several wagons over the years, my favs being the Chev./Buick/Olds whales of the early to mid 90's. I currently own a '91 Olds Custom Cruiser, 85K miles, 5.0 engine, and in very good shape. They're getting harder and harder to find, of course. The Buick Roadmasters are nice, and more plentiful, but Lordy, that LT1 (5.7L) engine really gobbles the gas!! Anyhoo, glad I found the forum. It should be a great source for parts, advice, shows, and perhaps even another wagon one day. Good to be here!!!
Anyone over here knows where to get a GOOD fitting gas cap? i have a universal gas cap but it's a. ugly and b. its leaking... thanks in advance! B.
Welcome to the forum! Try: http://www.dennis-carpenter.com/ Under 1960-1972 Ford Galaxie and Full size for your fuel cap. The early '70s "should" be the same for the '77. But write to them and ask, maybe they can give you a better direction.
Wow I toured northern Manitoba with a band in one of those pulling a trailer full of gear. Same colour and everything, but this one had a 460, IIRC.
Nice! Mine didn't ride that much in the USA. Bought it here in Holland with only 39.000 miles on it! smooth like a criminal ;-)
That's a beautiful wagon, Bart. I absolutely love that light green color on that Country Squire. I generally prefer the Mercury Colony Park wagons, but with that color, I'd grab it in a split second. Are you forced by the fuel prices to do a LP conversion?
yes i am. there is a LPG tank in the back 'kids' seat compartiment. nobody could notice But with fuel prices of €1.65 per liter! (that's about 9 dollar per gallon!) cruisin' on fuel is not possible here..
Another LTD in NL Hello an, I just saw the post, I have an LTD too! 1977 and can be found at this site. I live in het Gooi, and there is another one around here in almost the same colour as mine, we get mixed up some times when one of is sighted Maybe we should pair up at the next cruise at Muiden ? I have mine now for two years and just got a new APK  Regards
