The Chevrolet wagon commercial starts around 1:06 and there is also a Texaco gas commercial, they used what looks like a '71 Impala wagon pulling a boat.

I'll take one of those wagons just like they were in the commercial! LOL....my dad had gas stations so I liked the Texaco commercial. Funny thing about back then....clean reastrooms were a BIG thing. We had a sign in front that said "clean restrooms". Guess who had to clean them a couple times a day!

Even in nowadays commercials they like to refer to the old stationwagons:

Memorie lane Fox.... I allways remember Mom only letting Dad stop at gas stations that advertized "clean washrooms", acually I remember her saying "we need to find a gas station with clean washrooms" as good ol road trips happened. Gas cost ment nothing, it was all about how "clean" a station was and the out side had alot to do with it..

You got it right , Fat. My dad was a real stickler about those restrooms. That sign out front was one of those heavy metal signs about 3 feet wide & about 5 feet high that was in a frame but swung free from the attachments at the top. Had feet that stuck out on both sides at the bottom. I had to have help to get it out there in the morning until I grew up some. Got us a lot of business though. Like you said...the women looked for those signs and a well kept building.

I'm so in love with these old commercials, especially featuring the Chevy wagons of the '70's :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Yeah that first commercial is a 1972 Chevy wagon commercial. It looks like mine except its brown. Mine dont have the power tailgate. :(

That following Texaco commercial shows a 71 wagon.
