'65 Tempest GTO Wagon, Grand Junction, CO

    Howdy to all. What a great site...I'm pleased to be a member.
    I'm Gary, the "hoghead", residing in Grand Junction, CO, retired locomotive engineer, 70 years old.
    Owning a '65 Pontiac Tempest GTO Wagon for 2 years and a '53 Ford Ranch Wagon for 5 years. The Ford is a stock 6-cylinder, 3-speed driver, but has been parked for the last 2 years; the GTO is a weekly driver that has a '71 400 with '70 Ram Air lll heads; Edelbrock intake and 600 cfm carb; 350 tranny with shift kit; aluminum radiator; Accel distributor; AC, PS, PB front discs. The front interior, hood and grille, are '65 GTO. On this car I am currently updating, rebuilding, repairing, as necessary. It runs hard! A blast to drive.
    My additional hobbies include woodcarving, model building, playing guitar, piano and singing in local dance bands, prefer '50's - '60's R&R, but play most genre's prior to 1980. We volunteer our music on a regular basis at several senior citizen venues.
    I can already tell that this forum will be fun and helpful to me and, hopefully, I can be of some assistance to others on the site.

    Hey, Fella's...thanks for the welcome! I'll start posting in some of the other forums in the future, along with photo's of updates to the '65 Tempest. Do need suggestions about cheapest camera that provides quality photo's and is quick & easy to load on the computer as I'm falling far behind in the techno department. The '65 Tempest has no techno...love it!

    :Welcome:Hoghead. You sound like an energetic young man! Enjoy lookin things over and posting more pictures. As far as cameras, any new digital camera will work wonders. They have their own download programs and even I can eventually figure them out. $100 or less art your favorite Big Box or Electronics Type Shack.:tiphat:

    Thanks, Cat...I was afraid someone would say the digital camera's aren't too difficult to operate. Dang!...guess I'll have to re-energize the brain cells, even tho' they be rusty, musty, dusty and, no...lusty is no longer an issue. Well, then...new photo's from a new camera...sometime in the future.
