damn that is someone who is truly passionate about his work! I guess my little roof problem is nothing compared to that....the only thing my welding is not even close to that

I got the old battery tray out or what was left of it....the area around it isn't that bad which is surprising....everything was going ok until the bronco wouldn't crank over....I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to diagnose why it won't run now

Been there, done that. Start with the solenoid. Change to another you does work. Once running, check if the voltage is over 12 on a voltmeter - should be around 12.5 to 13.4 volts or more. If that's fine, and the starter works fine, then you're done. If the starter sounds whimpy, get a rebuilt. If your starter has the solenoid right on the starter (likely), then you can start by replacing the starter.

I wish I still had a line on a once very good friend. He was all about the 60's Falcons and had oodles of parts. He had been collecting them for years and then up and moved to Missouri. If you're ever there start asking about Bill and Sandy with all the Falcon parts. I know that probably doesn't help, but it was a good peice of random information. And also, I just saw your post about the roof repair, good luck skinning it, spotting it in, in my opinion would be a lot easier, little bit-o-heat, .023 wire and a whole lot of patience and you can do anything with a welder. I just shaved a drip rail off a rusted out 64 Chev P/U and it turned out pretty sweet. Patience and persistance

Dan, the guy to pester (and PM) is the Rev. He's up in Whiterock, BC, and he's got Falcon/Comet parts up the wazoo. Don't know why he hasn't seen this thread.

I have a serious attraction to 60's era small wagons. I love the early Falcons. Good luck with the project!

Happy Labor Day everyone! thought I would post some pics of the evil rust that I will be tending to on this bad boy! The body is in pretty good shape except for the roof, spare tire well by the rear quarter, and floor pans
