    Hello everyone,

my names Eliot, and I own a 1963 Oldsmobile F-85 wagon which has been in my family for over 18 years now. We actually got the car in Georgia in 1995, and I was a year old, and we drove it all the way back. Ever since then its really been the family custom, and when the buick 215 that was in it blew up (it was a factory high compression 4 barrel car, but when we got it the motor was tired, so we traded it for a rebuilt buick 215) I bought the car from my dad at the end of my junior year of high school, and ever since then I've been working on it. As of now it should be able to fire up, but I am getting weak spark (hopefully will have that all figured out soon), and the body work is under way now. I still have to pan the rear bumper area, and fix the pan on the front bumper, which are ultimately the two hardest jobs left for it, besides some rust repair. As far as the car goes, I actually have all the original documentation for it still!

Thanks, I'm in the Detroit area! I do have to redo the "Star Wars" air cleaner on the top half though, the clear coat messed me up.

I actually responded to your thread, to see if the wagon your family had was potentially my wagon.

[IMG] I happen to have the original title still, so this will tell all.

Nope, that wasn't ours. Ours was green on bottom, yours is a Deluxe trim model if you didn't already know.

Ok, well that rules that chance out, but yes I did know! Woulda been cool if this was your families wagon from the past. Mine did have the roof rack, gosh i wish i could find another (my dad got rid of it in the mid 90s)

I remember they had a lot of trouble in the beginning with water leaks with our roof rack.

Where was that car originally bought? I'm going to guess Royal Oldsmobile?

I am not sure, I will have to check the other paperwork I have with the car, but probably. Believe it or not this car was not a leaker, until recently when the hatch seal went so it leaks a bit now (its getting stored in the garage this winter which im excited for!), but I'm hoping to find a new one to put in its place for when I paint the hatch.

Somewhere a '67 Buick is crying out for its air cleaner.

Cool choice as that's not an often seen part and totally unexpected on an Olds wagon.

This is true, believe it or not, my dad had the aircleaner from the 90s and was planning on using it with the wagon, but it would not fit due to the heater, so we had to modify the base of the aircleaner to get it to fit, but we did it. Yes a 67 buick is crying somewhere, but the part was already damaged, and well if I ever get a 67 buick in the future then i can swap it between cars!

Ok the meteor is a whole different story. Thats been in the family for 19 years (even though the body is now different from the first one because of rust issues). Its pretty much an 03 cobra, its got the IRS, the hydroboost brake system, the seats, spindles, etc...and its been my daily driver since I turned 16. It was a father son project. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3111858/1963-mercury-meteor/ I have much more detail here, and as of now the plan is to 4.6l 4v swap the car.
