Anyone have experience with the GM, Super-rotomatic or Jetaway? Mine is slipping, and will not up shift. However if you are driving about 20mph and stomp on it, it will down shift. Do these transmissions have a parking pawl? my car still rolls when in park. I am trying to figure out if the trans is shot or just needs some tlc. Thanks for any information. Andy

Wish I could help you. Had one of those in a '64 Pontiac Ventura, but never had transmission issues for the short time I owned it.

    Keep searching.......

Don't know the particulars but from what I've read, these transmissions do have more than average problems.

Have you adjusted the TV cable for the down and upshift? Yes, they do have a parking pawl.:yippee:

    I believe the T-400 was a direct bolt-in!
I know Olds dealers were doing it under warrantee, to avoid the warrantee/comback problems!

The 62 engine has the started mounted to the transmission bell housing, a TH400 will bolt up but you can not mount the starter. Thanks

I know you can buy adapters that provide the starter bolting, but I built my own when I had the 389 from a '64 in the wagon. Just did a template off the old tranny, torched it out, cleaned it up, welded nuts on the backside where the starter bolts to, painted it up, and in it went. Worked perfect for many years. Was able to run my T400 without issues.
