Good question...we got spanked pretty good by Irene, and I think Springfield was pretty well flooded, but a few feet make a big difference. Some houses were washed away or completely swamped while their neighbors across the street were untouched. Strange, sad times. Cool wagon, though! I want it, but don't have the capital and he didn't want my 59 Apache in trade.

----------Have friends near Benningnton, I believe. Not far from rt 100. Is that the Springfield where Homer lives? We used to live near Springfield, Illinois. I always though that was home to the Simpsons!:taz:-----I meant Burlington!!!!

FRESH FROM THE BARN AFTER SITTING FOR 40 YEARS. DRIVEN BACK FROM OKLAHOMA IN 1971 AND DRIVEN INTO THE BARN, SAT THERE EVER SINCE. VERY SOLID BODY, CAR NEEDS TOTAL RESTORATION BUT WHAT A COOL PROJECT!! HAS NOT RUN IN 40 YEARS, IT WILL NEED EVERYTHING EXCEPT AS I SAID, THE BODY IS EXCELLENT. PARTIAL TRADES CONSIDERED.

I guess that passenger fender is factory stock dented???:biglaugh:

Nice photos. It really is a cool car. Friend had an Edsel 2-dr hardtop. Sold it because parts are rare which equals expensive.

This one would really lend itself to some personalization.....
I'd do the 'red' area in some 50's coral color, then do the white inset area with some different kind of woodgrain theme......

Pretty much every state has at least one 'Springfield' in it........

---Sounds right to me. Our friends live in Hinesburg and son is ferryboat captain across lake Champlain out of Burlington. They act a little like Marge and Homie!:yup: But I always visualized the Simpson's Springfield as in Illinois. Just looked right to me.

-A lot of states have popular same name towns. Gets confusing at times. And you do resemble Homer too!
