I'd have to take exception to this choice:

They looked pretty good in an unusual, quirky way until they "updated" the styling (see above) to make it look more like the rest of the AMC line.

I always thought the Ford Maverick was a very ugly car.

And if the PT Cruiser is so ugly, how come you can't stop at a traffic light without seeing at least two of them beside you?
    SOMEBODY is buying them.
Damian Joseph Is full of crap

Come on this is cute :29:Dog dish hub caps, hood scoop streamline bumpers that can double as door trim. Ragtop for those hot summer nights. Compact easy on gas. Low on maintenance only uses one wiper...actually kinda looks like a moon tracker without the treads :biglaugh:

C'mon! This is the epitome of sleek design that car guy's long for! And the drive train is well designed so that your knees do NOT hit the steering wheel while pedaling.:rofl2:
This was a fun look....lots of wierd cars I have never seen. Some truly ugly ones, too. Some I disagree with the author on and rather like. The above is not one that I like.

Prius. Ugh. I noticed that Honda made a hybrid offering that looks just like it. Monkey-see...y'know the rest.

They need to make more hybrids that don't look like hybrids. They are, sure, but we need more...

I gotta agree with the guy on this...;)

I think hes wrong on some of the funky cars....but hes real close on the most of them....in my opinion:)
I think you could include just about everything...not all ...but most of the cars made in the last 15 years....sorrry to my pals with new cars;)

    Agree:
Citroen Ami - It's a Citroen. What would you expect?
Mustang II - Proportions all wrong
Toyota Rav4 (1st gen only) - Clown car if I ever saw one
Suzuki X90 - Only people who made money off of it was Red Bull
Fiat Multipla - You're joking, right?
Jeep Compass - Jeep should be ashamedof this one. It got a very nice re-do for 2012 though. 100% improvement in the looks department.

    Disagree:
El Camino - A cheap shot. Not a badly styled one in the bunch.
VW Thing - Come on. This vehicle wasn't STYLED at all, so judging it for it's styling is unfair. It was a purely 'form follows function' vehicle.
AMC Pacer- Maybe not the best-looking vehicle in the world, but you've got to give the AMC stylists credit for trying something different - and mostly succeeding.
DeLorean - Clean lines. Stainless skin was a good idea. Some of the details missed, but overall a nice design.
Cadillac Cimmaron - Another cheap shot. Doesn't mention the Cavalier on which it was based. I think it looked pretty sharp, particularly the later front sheet metal redesigh, which it the one in the photo This car SHOULD have been based on the larger GM platform though - the one that spawned the Celebrity, Pointiac 6000, etc GM made a mistake there.
