We had a 2001 Taurus Wagon and loved it.

 

Absolutely beautiful wagon!

But WHY does a 2004 Sable have a cassette player in it? My 2003 Focus had a 6-CD in-dash changer - from the factory, and just checking, you could get one in the Sable as well. I suspect this unit may have been ordered this way by some possibly older folks who weren't into CD's yet, except for their investments.

I would say 'well bought'. I'd be searching for a factory CD changer unit now, if it were mine......

 

we had a 2001 Taurus wagon. we had Best Buy/Circuit city put a 6 CD changer and it fit in the back side compartment, opposite the spare tire. Fit nice, and pretty easy to change the CD's

 

I believe the factory units were integral with the radio, in the dash, as was the stereo CD system on my '03 Focus wagon. Ford had previously used 'remote' CD changer boxes, like on the '97 F-250 we had for a while. Box was under the rear jump seat on the left side.
