We've discussed this car in the past and its now for sale on Hemmings. Turns out its a low mileage Crown Vic Interceptor that was lightly accidented in the front and converted to a wagon using a Mercury Sable wagon. Conversion was done by a hearse/limo company. Hemmings Ad Hemmings Blog

I found out what it was... Here's the thread where the pic was. The wagon was put up for sale last fall. Apparently the seller had some magnatized decal Di-Noc that is removeable. Snoot said so in the last post. Unfortunately, no pic got downloaded here......
I find it strange that a limo co would spend time on a crashed used police car. I may have been done there, but i'd bet it was an employee doing it on his own time .
Quite possibly...... Wouldn't make economic sense for a buiness or government entity to invest a lot of money into this type of conversion when there were plenty of other vehicles on the market that could do the job right out of the box...B-body GM wagons, Chevy Tahoe Ford Expedition, etc.....
Some cars lend themselves to a wagon conversion design-wise better than others, IMO. I don't like this one from a design standpoint. I'm not saying that it may not have been done well....I just don't like the downward slant of the rear door window in relation the the rear side window. Not much could be done with this one to alleviate that problem. When this problem arises....even in some factory wagons....it shows the sedan to wagon conversion that I don't want to see. Just my opinion.
the taurus part should have been set a little lower, and maybe widened just a hair. if your gonna go to the trouble... do it right! it looks too hoaky
