I dunno, I wouldn't call this one "Excellent Condition." See the photos below for why. I've seen much worse, but I've also seen better. Nice to hear that the transmission was recently re-built, though.







Obvious surface rust in the engine bay.







Where's the spare tire cover? Also, the headliner's sagging.





OUCH. That's pretty substantial surface rust there, but good on the seller for showing it.

Interior looks so-so, or dirtier. Could use a better cleaning. There's dust on that dashboard.

Is the driver door seated properly?

 

I see no evidence of that being a 1A2 wagon.

 

I think the seller means LT1 engine…and to many they assume it’s a police package because it shares the engine…but I believe all B body GM cars got LT1’s from 94-96…I’ve seen many different configurations called “police package” that weren’t.

 

Like the blues brothers movie “it’s got cop motor…cop shocks…”

 

Some 1994 Caprice models had a 4.3 V8. I think that was a one year only feature.

 

4.3 baby LT1 was the base engine on the Caprice sedan including fleet vehicles from 94-96. I guess by this guy's reasoning every Caprice was a police package. I'm mostly used to people just referring to it as having the "Corvette motor".

 

I did once see a picture of under the hood of a caprice that said it had a 4.3. It did look exactly like an LT1. Wasn’t sure what was going on but I do remember hearing about a 4.3 V8 but didn’t know it was a baby LT1…I just thought maybe they brought back the old 262 and slapped on some fuel injection.
