A friend passed this link to me. Looks pretty decent, but a lot of miles... for those metric impaired, that's 211K miles. Only $1,680 Canadian though :2_thumbs_up_-_anima http://www.bluestarmotors.com/index.php?page=showroom&vehicle_id=767
Even with the high miles, IMO if a dealer is selling it soo cheap....WTF is really wrong with the car?? Do you on the lower mainland still have air care and all that stuff?
Aircare is definately still in force, had to just go through it with my '78, however, no need to worry if your moving it out of the lower mainland. That is a lot of miles, so the problems could be several... it is very odd that they would try and sell it that cheap but it will probably move at that price. I could take a look if anyone is interested... only about 15min from my house.
Dunno that mileage would deter me a great deal. I used to date a girl years ago whose father was the prototype mechanic for the GM plant in Oshawa. His job was to build a prototype of the current year car often using parts from previous years that he had on hand. I learned quite a lot from him while watching him work on cars at their cottage and one of the things he preached loudly was that he would never buy a car with less than 200,000 kms on it. He claimed that once they had made it that far the car was definitely a keeper and must have had maintenance done on it. His son once showed interest in a car with only 190,000 kms on it and the man flatly refused to even look at it. The son wound up with a 230,000 km Beretta. Amongst him and his children they had 6 cars that all ran strong. Seemed pretty odd to me at the time but I took whatever advice he offered to heart. One of those instances where you wish you could have kept the family without the girl.
