Very nice, but a little too pricey for the condition. The documentation is over the top, and very nice to have but is it worth 11 grand more than the Colony Park I just sold? I don't think

    Vehicle Description
Offered for sale is this incredibly well preserved and meticulously maintained Electra Estate Wagon from Buick, a 1989 model in attractive Steel Gray Metallic over Saddle leather. This 2-owner wagon is entirely original, with woodgrain applique on the sides, and a roof rack on top. This car was well equipped from new, with a variety of standard and optional features pushing the sticker price to $23K in 1989 ($47K in 2019 dollars). It is also equipped with a trailer towing package, which adds a 3.23 limited slip rear end, heavy duty cooling, and automatic level control. Interior options include dual power leather seats, power locks, power mirrors, automatic headlamp control, electronic climate control, rear defrost, power windows including the tailgate, and much more. Most importantly, this wagon has a large three ring binder containing every service since new, the original sale and window sticker, and much documentation regarding the model. It is extremely rare to find a wagon that has been so beautifully kept and documented, as most of these cars were sold to people who used them to death. All original paint and interior, exceptional mechanicals, and incredible documentation - this is the one to collect! Please phone us at (239) 298-8000 for sales information

If it was sold through a private estate, rather than a used car dealership, a purchase would be thinkable. It looks garage-kept and eldery-owned. Maybe, by a retiree who kept his boat hitched onto it. The amount of gadgets ordered don't seem to point to a poverty-stricken original owner. Besides, it still has bumper-fillers

While very nice, wrong center caps and radio. It would, however, take less than $1000 to correct those minor flaws.

look closely to the wood grain just in front of the left front tire, it is delaminating and behind looks like someone tried to fix, it would be a major issue for me, doubt you could replace just front quarter panel without color being off. to replace entire woodgrain cost $2000.00 if you did it yourself.

$23,000 sticker, inflation adjusted is $47,700.
The good thing about these late 80's is modern enough you could still drive cross country without a lot of worries.
I like this color and interior

Watched the dealers entire 20 minute video on our pc screen. I usually just use a small tablet. Did not see the woodgrain delamination that MAK picked up on. Not saying it isn't there but I cannot see it. Per the seller's video pitch he is aiming this one to a serious collector, not just a wagon enthusiast as many of us are. Considering the crazy amount of money that floods into Naples in the "season" the asking price is not high. If you fortunate enough to vacation is South FL this winter check out a Naples Cars and Coffee or Exotic car show and you will see what I mean.

MAK and I are Old Schoolers who use traditional full-sized computers and screens. That way, nothing escapes our scrutiny

The front is definitely peeling and the coloration of the woodgrain behind the wheel just looks suspect upload_2019-12-30_18-48-49.png upload_2019-12-30_18-51-47.png

Thanks for the photos. Don't know if I have time to run down to that dealer this week but now I am really curious how that wagon really looks. Am about an hour North. If I get to see it will post on this thread.

To me the Electra wagon was the only upgrade to a Colony Park - think its the round gauges & the plastic wood on the doors.
Seller has to find a collector that also has a thing for wagons, the car, while incredibly clean and maintained still isn't worth the money. Still use the 1987 Colony Park that R&M Auctions sold in Santa Monica 2 years ago for under 10 grand. It was all original 1 owner since new Arizona/California car with 23,000 miles on it. That venue truly attracts the real collectors.

Anna01gt, if you run down to see it for real would love to know if it really is as nice as the pictures,

Anna01gt can now show the seller your woodgrain photos for bargaining purposes
