What is a reasonable value for a 1985 Buick Lesabre Estate Wagon in fair non-abused shape?

May not be an "Estate". Is supposed to be factory stock, except wheels. Everything works except A/C. Even is supposed to be original paint.

unless my eyes deceive me, that is petty blue...as in richard petty.
which i think was a rare option.....on the regal! i think somone is getting hosed on the "original paint" claim here......ill consult the all-knowing buick guru and get back to you. (i keep trying to get him to sign up ..he has a lot on his plate right now)

it does look nice in that color...very sporty!

It's much easier if he just posts the paint code from the BNP, so I can tell him what the original colour of this Estate Wagon was.

    Well thats the best bet.

At first glance I though no way origonal paint/coulour.

I wonder if it's just bad pics. I've taken pics and because of one reason or the other they have turned out to be a combletly different shade of what I took the pic of.

I wonder (?) if it's this colour (but just in a crappy pic)

So Ivan, are looking to buy this wagon?

I alwready see the tail gate handle is "lazy". It's impossible for any one to help you with a "real" $ value whith no info perioud and bad pics.

I personally don't care for "the book value says" when it comes to a cars worth. IMO what could be considerd Fair condition on the East coast, could be considered poor or below average on the West. The books IMO leave to many grey areas.

All good points, Fat. When he posted the second set of pix and I saw the view of the rear of the car it looked more like the true color. And you are right....we need many more pix in, out and under to be able to give even a ballpark online. I know these cars and, frankly, I can't tell much from these pix. From what I can see, it does look like it doesn't have much, if any, rust. But it has after market wheels. I like an honest car that has been unmolested.

You posted that when I was busy uploading my photos.....[IMG][IMG][IMG]

US$ 800 sounds like a good price if the engine and transmission are okay.
Mechanical parts are easy to find, for body parts you have to search a little bit better. But you can always ask on this board [IMG] !!

Well, if it's a Texas car I would imagine lettle if no rust. But don't they (older cars) have a tendancy to dry rot? Door/window seals dashes, etc.

To me $800 seams like a steal but....where's the info??

Parts?....Mechanical should be no problem but interiour and other body related things "could" be a problem (maybe) I have a 86 and the island I live on is about the size of Washington State.......there are no cars for parts perioud where I live. Your location may prove different, it's all about location, location, location IMO for parts avalibillty and price.
