Our house was built in 1977. I have two old cars. One is the '73 Custom Cruiser I've been talking about on here since January. The other is a '67 Delta 88 convertible. Put them both in the garage, and doesn't it look like it could very well BE 1977 all over again? Dad's big convertible and Mom' family hauler? Oh for the days...

The garage door does close behind the Custom Cruiser with about 3 or 4 inches to spare. The rear of the garage floor is raised, so I have to stop when the front tires bump the step. If I back it in, with the longer overhang of the rear, I can get it well into the garage with enough room to walk around in front of it when the garage door is down.

Looks like it could be 1977. :)

My aunts/uncles house was built in 1967.... garage (2 car ) is fairly large.... even the smaller cars back then were big. lol.

I owned a '62 Bel Air wagon. The girlfriend of the day climbed across the bench seat from the driver's side as the passenger's door lock was frozen that sub-zero January day. The old 235 had just been started moments ago. She somehow managed to stand on the throttle, the engine raced, the oil couldn't move quick enough and a rod bearing failed then and there. My '62 never saw 1978.

What a great shot and what a great pair of cars to have owned back then. It reminds of VC's pic with his Vista Cruiser parked next to a 442 convertible.

jeffreyalman has a cool set of vehicles as well. He's got a 76 Custom Cruiser, a 76 Toronado and a 75 Delta 88 convertible, all mint. I'm not sure if he has a garage big enough for all 3 at once, but they do look pretty cool together.

Not at cool as your picture. But this was taken in August of 2003, just before I sold the '83 245 GL Volvo wagon. Sold the '79 Lincoln (should not have) about a year later. The condo was built in '73.

My '77 and '78 Country Squires together. The house was built in 1955 and the garage was rebuilt in '95 but the same style/look in a three car.

I'm pretty sure I got fubar'ed on that one. The owner would call every so often, just to let me know I am still getting it. Last time he called, early Jan. I have this gut feeling one of his kids or someone said "Oh, you can get $5,000 for it, I saw this one on Ebay............."

I was REALLY looking forward for that wagon. I should have seen it coming, some people can be just weird.

Good eye. I got that sign at a garage sale. It lights up just fine and makes a good shop light.

But, Fedex was actually founded in 1971, so it would have been reasonable to see a Fedex sign in 1977, although the logo might have been different. They still called themselves "Federal Express" back then.
