400 V8. 59k miles. Power windows and locks. Brougham interior. 3rd seat. $6900.

Now I really think whoever just recently bought that similar '77 Cougar wagon in Florida on eBay for $6500 really took a bath.

This one appears far superior - much better optioned with the big engine with lower miles for the same price.

    Agreed.

Hmmm. Interesting. The interior on this thing looks to be almost identical to my 77 LTD II. Same exact seats, dash, door panels, etc. Only difference is the power window switches on the door panels.

Heck no! Transport broker is still looking for a truck. Doesn't seem to be a popular route. Or this broker doesn't know what they're doing. They've got good reviews on transportreviews.com, and have an "A" BBB rating. I contacted a few other transport companies today, to see if they'll have better luck.

You're probably aware of this website, but just in case not, here it is.

    http://movecars.com/

I've found it very useful in getting bids for car transport.

Thanks for the link. I had seen that site, as well as many others. I've received well over 20 bids. There are hundreds of brokers out there, so it can be a little overwhelming. I did a lot of research, using transportreviews.com and the BBB to narrow it down to three brokers. I went with Mercury Auto Transport, which is accredited with the BBB, and has an "A" rating, as well as great reviews. The guy has been responsive, but just says he's having trouble locating anything. Today, I tried searching for actual carriers, not brokers. I found a few, so we'll see what they can tell me.

Still for sale. Don't personally care for the baby blue paint color, but this is a really great looking and extremely well equipped '77 Cougar Villager wagon!

    Good deal for someone!

Love those 77 cats. Everything just looks so right. Of course they have more complex engine management that a 66 but one can't have everything. ;)

If the lottery comes through this weekend, this car has a new home, and fast! This one is a real beauty. Those seats are incredibly comfortable, too. A true long distance cruiser is this car!
