Hi - am trying to find the correct parking brake cables for my 1977 Country Squire wagon. Rockauto and similar don't seem to clearly distuinguish between cables for rear drum brakes or disc.

Am looking for the LH and RH rear cables.

Removed from the vehicle the LH one measures 51.25" approx, and the RH one measures 89.5" approx.

If anyone knows where to get these, or the original Ford part numbers the help would be welcomed!

    Thanks,
    John

Google Green Sales Company in Ohio. They carry NOS Ford/Lincoln/Mercury parts; they may not have what you need, but they can look the part numbers up.

Hi John, that country squire must have the trailer tow package? Hopefully you'll get lucky on the e-brake cables.

Ok John, I looked in my parts CD and it's a pain to look up to say the least. But it appears that pre 7/1/77 were your size cables as follows.
    Right D6AZ 2A635-A is 89" long
    Left D6AZ 2A635-B is 50 3/8" long
These are Mercury numbers but they may have a different prefix letter for Ford. Please double check that these numbers work for wagons as it doesn't specify them in the parts CD. It's listed as the full size merc with rear disc brakes only.
    The later '77s had a 37 7/8" left cable

Many thanks all for the above. Will see if I can find those parts somewhere. And yes, it does have the 7000lb trailer package.

Rock auto is having a close out sale on 1977 Ford parts. They had some e brake parts pretty cheap.
