I was going to say it's very nice, but not worth almost $20K. Looking closely at the pictures, however, it almost looks as though it's been restored. It seems to me that it's a gnat's whisker away from being perfect.

Personally, although Magnum 500s are my favorite of custom wheels, I don't think they look quite right on this car. That said, I don't think they detract any from the value of the car. This wagon needs only a few minor touches to be a 100 point car -- a new air cleaner sticker, new headlight cover bumpers, etc.

So I'll have to conclude that, while I don't know if it's worth the asking price, that price is certainly in the right range. All this assumes, of course, that the pictures are accurately representing the car. I note there are none of the underneath. And that I haven't missed any major flaws.

Yes it is a beauty. And it's only an afternoon drive away. But not the type wagon I'd spend that much money on if I had it to spend.

I don't see any indication in the '68 big Ford brochure that the Magnum 500's were available. That being said, I think they look good.

Nice wagon but not for that money. Spoke to a guy over the weekend said he was interested in selling his 66 Ford wagon. He was a friend of a friend whose opinion I respect and they said the wagon was gorgeous. He sent me the pictures and they weren't kidding however now he decided to hang onto it for a while. Back to looking and waiting.

Definitely not recent looks like possibly last summer. I believe he told me he's owned it for three years. A trusted friend who knows the gentleman assured me it was excellent shape.

Nice. I collect images of 66 Fords, and I have seen very few black wagons. I don't think I have any pics of this one yet, 'til now.

Yep, Magnum 500s look good on just about any Ford or Mercury product.

I'm pretty sure Magnum 500s weren't available on any Ford product until 1969, on the Boss Mustangs. Also I'm pretty sure Magnums were never available on big Fords, regardless of year. Although, I'm sure the dealer could hook you up.
