When I hear the word "survivor" I think of a daily driver-ish car that has been maintained through the years and is still in good shape and can be pressed into service whenever, not some car that looks like it has been sitting in a field for 20 years. Just because the car is still physically here doesn't really earn it "survivor" status to me.

The classic used car/truck lot that bought MY wagon is only a few minutes from Prineville. This one may need a lot more than he'd be willing to spend on it, though.

And as to the engine, the full-line '68 Buick brochure I just looked at indicates that the largest engine available in these was 400 cubic inches. The 430 was reserved for the full-sized Buicks. So, if it's a 430, it was replacement.

As I get older I’m starting to feel that way about some people I know. Lol

This absolutely, 100%. Anyone who says "survivor" on a car better mean a car that I can jump in and drive around without too many issues. Maybe not cross-country, but it won't need any major work to go a few hundred miles a week.

These sellers like to use these terms to try and drum up interest and sales, especially from people far away who can't look at it up close.

I'm sure he'd have no trouble dragging that thing into his showroom for pictures and asking $30k.

There never was a 430 (or larger) installed in a Buick A Body prior to 1970.

That one is so rare they never made one...
