so I went out this long weekend and polished My Terd some.
Could not afford to do anything but it comes together one piece at a time

The grill looks better worked a dent out and polished the Washington Green off.

Nice report so far. It's lookin good and I love the seat. Those are some fancy hog rings. Actually a decent looking wagon. I always loved those grilles in that year Ford.

Well I'm Broke again. Found a new rear bumper for $150 butt don't have the money this month. So rather than get depressed I went outside and worked on the Wagon.

I had a bad Beauty ring ..... I wonder if I could find a new set?

So I fixed it? Should I do them all this way? What do you think?

It looks great! Stainless trim rings are hard to polish back to New looking. You might ask your wife about using her oven and powder coating them.:biglaugh:

Caswell carry the powder coat, and they have some good write-ups. I know you can use a heat gun too, but an old oven would do the trick. I think it needs 160 F for 30 minutes. But it smells up the place, unless you're outside. Run a 240 VAC cord from the dryer, and get an old stove from a thrift shop. OR take an old toaster oven's elements and lay them down on some bricks or inside the BBQ, connect them, and crank it on.

And check this out!!! All the things you wondered about. It'll make you a hoarder though! :rofl2:

One of my college girl friends' dad had a nice 1965 Fairlane hardtop with some kind of electric issue. He bought the car new, and when he asked if my dad's junkyard might have whatever part it was, in 1972, I checked and found one. He worked for Canada Customs. His daughter was in my engineering math classes, and she knew her calculus, upside/down. Sharp gal.

So he came over to our jy, with her, and asked if we could install it. He and my dad went inside and grabbed a couple of cold beers, while his daughter and I installed it. No beer until we were done. Her old man paid for the part, and paid us $50 each for doing it! College kids always need money, huh?

His daughter asked my dad if he needed any help to call her. And he did! Not scared to get dirty and a good mind for solving stuff.

So do that wagon justice or I'll find her and get her to nag ya! :rofl2::lolup:

You didn't wait till we thought! I think the beauty rings look nice. They'll probably hold up fairly decent as long as you don't have to remove them or drive on many gravel roads.
Is that your new third brake lite in back?

    And I learned something Yesterday.
My Hub caps are not Chrome (like I thought) They are Stainless and require a different type of cleaning.

Put a hitch on it, and save money on the movers. She'll haul more than you think. My Fairmont pulled almost 1.5 tons in the trailer, plus what was inside and on the roof, and the 2 of us. Yours can haul a lot more. We saved over $12,000 (USD$) from Guadalajara, MX, to Winnipeg, Canada. We drove at 55 MPH, but no issues.
