To all, thanks! I will grab some photos of the parts and the Buick this weekend and hopefully figure out how to upload them. Even though I'm in the film business, I'm still a bit of a ludite on these forums. I note that Fox was in the business: what did you do? And nice to see a number of Westerners, even Vancouver. Cheers. Michael.

Short stint in Hollywood as a small film maker, commercials, docs, industrial films...then into TV directing. Got out of the Hollyweird scene ASAP. Although, I did stay in the area for awhile after quitting the biz. Mostly, I ran and operated a marketing/advertising agency...30 years. But, had some other things I did that were interesting departures along the way and after.

    Dear Fox:

Funny, I've been doing commercials, corporates, and long form for 30 years this month as Frame 30 as well. My producer partner, Mitch, is CD at Parcom and also dabbles in film. My better half, Kerrie, was the other producer on The Greatest Auto Race on Earth ... she also produces for me and runs the Edmonton International Film Festival on the side. Are you still dabbling in the dark art of advertising and marketing? Cheers. Michael.

Nope...been retired a long time now, frame. Have no desire to pursue any of it again. I loved it when I had creative control and made some good stuff. The fire went down when the digital and puter stuff started to kick me around a little. I liked it when I wrote my own stuff, shot it, did the talent hiring, etc. Hollywood did not allow that.

All good tips, thank you. I ended up finding all the trim bits I needed for the rear deck at Desert Auto near Phoenix. Very easy to do business with, they even took pictures of their parts to see if they were correct. The two that were for sale in Manitoba were sold. I'll be chatting with the other site this weekend. More as the "tour" progresses. Cheers. Michael.

I wonder how many cars would not get restored if we couldn't have the Internet... Good for you, and good luck with the other parts.

I had a paint guy from Jus Cuz customs come over the other day to give me some thoughts on the Estate Wagon paint, the repaint of the 49 Merc truck, and Kerrie's 64 T bird. For the first time I talked to a guy, Mitch, who didn't want my first and last born and various body organs. Very good approach. I'm hoping it goes in to paint (epoxy primer, primer etc. and door edging) in the next week or two. Then, I can spend some time putting some parts on in the interior, then final paint in January. I'll try and shoot some shots of it as is this weekend. Cheers from the wild west. Michael.
