I have a true 1956 Chevy Nomad and a 1956 parts car to go with. The Nomad blue book value after you restore it is well over $70,000+, so you wont get hurt on this car at all. This is the rarest year of all the nomads...they made fewer of the 56 model than all other years. This car does not come with the motor in the pictures(it is the non original motor) however the parts car has the original 265 and power glide transmission that you will need to get the nomad back to original. The Nomad also comes with all the trim is off and inside the car to go with it. Nomad has been stored inside a building for the last 15 or 20 years. It is in need of a complete restoration of course...but like I said at this price you could put $30,000 in it and still make money easy! My asking price is $12,800 / obo. Call (712) 223-1442. Thanks and God Bless! Location: Ponca, NE Posting ID: 3701637964 Posted: 2013-04-07, 10:40PM CDT
So what kind of help is the '56 4-door sedan parts car, other than maybe the engine block? And yes, you could put $30,000 into this one - but it wouldn't be done.
If the 4-door has a good body, I'd use the hood and original underpinnings (if needed) for the Nomad and then find an alternative front end and drivetrain for the 4-door. I had a 56 4-door Michigan car with a good drivetrain and a body which was ripe for falling off. I then bought a Tennessee body, a few miles down and transfered my drivetrain, interior and trim into it. After my buddy's girlfriend wrecked my front end, I ended up buying a '55 front end for it which I liked better. The guy who sold me the front end replaced it with a tilt fiberglass replica. He had a nice 2-door with a built 302 Z-28 engine in it and did work meticulously. It would be a waste to just cannibalize the 4-door and then scrap it afterwards. Buy the way, where's the door trim for that Nomad?
Have to look that over REAL good for that kinda cash! It better be eat off it clean underneath! And sorry but after selling for years on line 99% of all scammers use the "God Bless" somewhere in the corispondence
Yes, X3. Never trusted the motives of the person who wears their particular religion on their sleeve or else wear.
Honesty can attract the kind of persons you might not desire for biting, though. Especially, the ones showing up with colored noses and a handbag full of duct tape and bath toys, Sir. When they get done with you, they're likely to God bless you, on top of that
