The design of the roof AC unit and awning rails is a give-away. Looks to me like a fairly new one - into the 80's at least - might even be a 90's model.

Was this a dealer display model piece?

If the finish on that model was shiny aluminum it would look a lot more like the real thing.
I built few airplane models long ago and used Testors Metalizer aluminum airbrush paint that you buff to a shine. It basically looks like shiny aluminum if you do it right. I'd carefully heat up portions of the trailer with a mini torch and press in a bunch of dents for more realism before paint.
I blew up the plane models with firecrackers.
I thought my daughters would think it was cool, they weren't impressed.

Franklin Mint 1967 International Land Yacht. Very limited production (twice, believe blue awning is the first run).
Don't even want to consider what you had to pay for it...

BlueVista is right. Without dents and ripples it's not realistic. But it sure looks nice.

Thanks for all the replies.... I have my own hobby business..have several guys asking for them already.. After casting them i'll start taking offers on them & see what they will bring in 3 different scale lengths = 24', 20', & 18' versions..as of right now, there is only a 14' - '58 shasta in 1/24 scale available..prices range from $60.00 to over $100.00..kinda' pricey for a 14' scale camper..just my 2 cents, it's all my wife will let me spend this week..

My wife gave me a nickel but told me it has to last till next month!

Actually she gives out very few nickels. Mostly she gives free advice. :slap:

At this time if someone gave me a nice Shasta I'd have to let it sit and just stare at it like the rest of my junk. The panel truck to pull one is still unfinished.
I really never considered hooking a RV to my 55 Chevy. A small red and white Shasta or any antique RV would be nice.
If I had a nickel for every bright idea I've had I'd be rich. :rofl2:
