Your first pic would'nt enlarge, but I like the second. Grill looks great and I like the Coogah on the hood.
Well it happened finely last Monday. After eight years she got to drive her beloved wagon again. Now the ride home! I was telling her all about the new things to remember to do since so much has changed since she last drove it. Well we start up the mountain and OH MY GOD I remember why I always drive. SHE SCARES THE SH!T OUT OF ME!!!!!!! She takes the first curve with the right front wheel almost in the ditch, I grab the dash and try the invisible brake on the passenger side IT DIDN'T WORK! She looks at me and says " Oh don't be such a drama queen" So on up we go and all the time I'm thinking "all that work just so she could kill me slowly " We turn right on a narrow road, OH MY GOD THERE'S ANOTHER CAR COMING! She pulls so far to the right I could smell the fresh paint drying on the guard rail, I think I screamed like a eight year old girl I cant even look at the wagon without getting chills. Pray for me. Rick
Well I just read you whole story from beginning to end what a journey I do have a couple of questions...did you ever do anything about the A**hole guy? Was you wife happy with the end result? Will she ever let you drive it...probably not, you had for how long...years Will the neighbours cat still be sitting on the car? And are there any pictures or not?
Fannie sorry I missed your post. Lets see, With the passing of my mom and everything that was going on at the time I just didn't have the time or the will to deal with him. The last time I drove by his shop it looked like it was shut down,Can you believe that? The wife is happy to have her Bobaleena {Boo-ba-lean-a} back again. That what she calls it. I get to drive it only if I fill the tank when I'm done. Just kidding, I can drive it whenever I want, after all I was the one who brought it back from the dead. If you read my first post in the welcome wagon it tells the story,I think the guys are tired of hearing it. The little black kitty is ours, she has a sister that looks just like her, there my buds always helping dad. I will get more pics as soon as I can, I got a mustang that need my attention right now. Thanks, Rick
Attend to the Mustang only after several good pics of that wagon! That looks so sharp, you can't tease us like that
We gotta drive a1awind nuts to get his secret woodgrain trim method. Your wagon looks so sharp, but that trim needs some tweaking. If Ian gets his up, I think it'll be as good or better than this (what I used): http://www.rickwrench.com/index79master.htm?http://www.rickwrench.com/wood.html I should have used a better clear coat, because it rubs off, after 3 years.
Baby got a new toy! I decided not to do the 4 bl carb, So I got a new Holly 500CFM 2 BL, The old girl will flat out scoot now. I just order a 45000 Flame-Thrower coil and wires today for it. Next week I'm going to start looking into duel exhaust. We have been driving it every chance we get, Got to get the camera fixed and post up some pics Best, Rick
One day left on the auction but I saw 67 Fairlane Squire woody tailgate trim on e-bay. The only photo I saw of the rear of yours didn't look like it had the trim. If you need it, good luck on your bidding. I am not the seller myself. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966...tZVintageQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/rocktruckr/
