hey everyone im from the cape in massachusetts. ive always wanted an old station wagon. in particular a 67 tempest wagon. Im 28, married, and have a 5 month old baby boy. i have a 67 GTO that im afraid to say will have to find a new home for. if i can sell the gto im gonna be lookin for a 67 tempest wagon that would more suit my needs. id hate to get rid of the goat but need something more practical to haul the family around in. just thought id say hello and u guys have a cool forum here
to the wagon train, gto. I THINK teej here had a 67 Tempest for sale. Not sure but you might want to look him up and send him a PM.
Welcome to the site. Goat looks great. By the looks of it, you should be able to buy 2 or 3 Wagons for what you will be able to get for it. And a posted car to boot? Is it a 4-Speed? Bill
from gtoguy its a triple black post coupe. original 400 /th400 posi rear, not sure about the gearing maybe 3.90s. originally had 2.70 ratio 120,000 mi. .original rally wheels, headers, boxed lower control arms, 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust all the way back. super turbo mufflers. originally it was a 2 bbl 200hp car which is kinda rare i think i still have the factory 2 bbl intake and carb. il try and find some better pics of it. but its been in the family since 1982 and its hard to let go. always has been garaged since 1982 when my uncle bought it he drove it thru high school and then garaged it and just took it out on weekends, same thing with me id drive it to high school and back into the garage never drove it in the winter But im sure some of u guys know the situation. u get married, have a baby, have no money, in debt, somethings gotta go if u want to make it. i figure this way if i sell it i can pay off my debt, have some money for a house, and maybe get something else thats old, cool, and something i can drive the family around in till it gets nasty outside, at which time il drive the wifes mini van to work lol.
Definitely a great looking car. Shame you can't hang on to it, as it would look great parked next to a wagon. (And I can prove it...) It's got to be tough when a car has family history. None of mine ever did, so I don't have that issue, but I still get attached to them.
