I wish we could see more pics. I love the 1975 Landaus and Country Squires. My dad had a regular LTD that year.

One of my favorite wagons and engines.
But, I find the pix suspect, and it is in Maine (who knows how long?) where rust rules. May have begun it's road life in Texas but may have been in Maine a long time. Might be a real beauty but I still find the pix and price suspect. It looks beautiful from what is shown and that is my favorite color combo if it has the brown leather or leather look interior. I would need to see a lot more in, out and under and see the options before making a decision. Must be getting even more cynical in my old age.[IMG]

I was thinking the same thing SilverFox. You never know whats hiding behind the wheel wells, rear cargo floor, and other common spots on that model LTD. Better pictures would be very helpful.

It's been awhile SF, just been busy with my new job and life in general. I'm getting things together to put in a rebuilt 400 cid in my '78, getting really excited for that.

Hows the Caprice wagon? I was ALMOST intro'ed to the LT-1 family but I lost the '96 Roady........the owner just vanished.

There are a lot of new faces on here, pretty cool to see.

I have thought about that. I would have to find a car to donate parts from. The LTD's I find around here are rotten. So I figure it is not worth the hassle. Besides, the 400s I have had, all have been great and loyal engines.

But that dose not mean I would not pass up a nicely loaded '75 to '78 CS with a 460.........

As for the Roadie, I'm still a little steamed but in reality, who gives a car to a total stranger. Just wish the guy didn't get my hopes up, what a jerk.

    Yellow Country Squire

My wife and I bought a new yellow Country Squire in 1973, it had full power, air, cruise, 400ci, AM/FM, front discs, radials. We drove it for 19 years towing our travel trailer and starting our family with 3 car seats in the back seat. It was a work horse but Michigan winters began to take a toll on the body and we bought newer cars and sold it to exchange students who spent the summer of '93 touring all over the USA in it and then in turn sold it to another local family and we saw it around for years.
In tribute to it, 2 years ago we found a 1978 that looks just like it, except the grill, and looks just like the one pictured. It was a Pennsylvania car with only 47,000 miles and very few blemishes. It has the 351 and full power and drives like a dream after we replaced the original tires.
