hey everyone, i'm daniel from germany and i'm the proud owner of a 1970 ford LTD country squire. i bought the car this year in april. it came to germany from san diego in 1999 and and was moved for about 1000 miles since then. this is my first us car so far and before i drove some old beetles, a vw splitty and some more german rust! here are some pics of my previous rides: but that is what you might be interested in most: ok, i hope to have a good time here! cheers, daniel (does anyone know where i can get a 2 speed wind wiper switch??)
very nice !!..the 70 and the split to our world oh...as for the switch?... gimme a minute ok...maybe a few days.....cant find nuttin
to the wagon train, JD. Those hideaway CS and CP wagons are some of my favorites. That's a very cool wagon!
Welcome aboard JohnnyD. Very nice rides. The switch in yours is broken, or are you upgrading to the intermittent delay wiper switch? I ask because the delay wiper system has extra electronics. I'm really thinking about chopping up the other Fairmont grille I have and using coax cables for hidden light doors on mine. They are just too cool. With coax cables, I could wink with one eye.
I'm loving your Country Squire. Looks like you've gotten some brand new tires on there; good for you. I'll bet it turns alot of heads in Germany.
hey everyone, thanks for the warm welcome! this wiper switch was in my CS but is broken down and now i need a new one. i already opened it but i dont think it's fixable cause it's melted partly... so if anyone can help i would be very grateful! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima and yes, this car is definitely one of the most exciting cars on germanys streets! i don't just drive it on sunny weekends: it's my daily driver and you should see peoples faces on their way to work... it's so funny that their rides are as big as my hood... that is a great idea with the winking eye... makes it a bit more "human". i just installed a claxon horn (i think it's the same like in the walton's car...!?). cheers, johnny danger
Hey Johnny, do you guys have the furniture spray polish, Lemon Fresh Pledge? If you do, pick up a can and try it on your wood. I think you might be very impressed with the results.
Johnny You picked a fine wagon Try these guy, if they dont let me know and I have a few more I can give you. Best Rick http://www.dearbornclassics.com/ http://www.autokrafters.com
thanks for the advice snooterbuckets but i will leave it as it is. i know that it's something different for you guys, cause you see this sun burnt wood on every junkyard. there are two more '70 CS in germany i saw on the internet and their wood looks better than mine. but you will NEVER see a car like this in germany especially not in this condition. that's the reason why i like it that much! i's also part of this cars history. and ford nut, thank you for the links, i alrady dropped them a line... let's wait and see! does anyone know if all 1970 CS came with the hideaway lights? i found picture on the internet and it looks exactly like my car but without the hideaway lights. cheers, JD
@ ford nut: the couldn't help me, do you have any other adresses? i also wrote DVAP but are still waiting for an answer...
Johny Can you show me a picther of your switch? Is it on the turn signel or the dash? Here's one link.http://macsautoparts.com/fairlane-t...s-d1oz-17a553-a/camid/FAI/cp/YR0SRJ3Y1000025/ Rick
