I have spent endless hours with adhesive remover and sore fingers getting off all of the glue from packing tape where the old man taped up all the windows and let this wagon sit for years. After going through the breaks, they didnt look too bad which set me at ease a bit more to haul the wife and kids. So we took it out for a while. After we got home, I snapped a few pics. Here it is at its current state. I think the red wheels have to go, not a fan. I have the OG dogdishes for them, but not a fan of those either. Oh well, gotta start somewhere. Go easy on me. :rofl2:

I love the wheels, the car looks great! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima
You could get them powdercoated if you want to refurbish them.

Minty-looking! The old guy did you a favour on the glass. It looks factory new. Tough to find glass in that kind of condition. Very nice. I remember that some of the original wheel discs were much nicer than aftermarket wheels.

    Looks great!:thumbs2:
The wheels are cool too, but it's all about what you like. Amazing what a wheel/tire package can do to completely change the look of a car.
Glad to hear yer enjoying it!

I think even powdercoated black with some hubcaps or bullet lugs and center would look good. Wheels are a tough one, they totally change up the look of a ride.

I'm thinking, since apparently the wagon originally came with the dog dish hub caps, that the wheels were most likely white. Usually, if the car had full wheel covers, it'd have black wheels; if it had the small hubcaps, the wheels were the same color as the body.

Yeah.. I am a little bummed about that. He said that a relative thought that they would look good red, and they did a quick piss can red job. You can tell they were white if you look at the centers, as they were not worried about a nice finish.
