    Stunning for a 1980, I guess it's just me but all the never ending fine print kinda scares me, sheeeeze, sell the car and not your fine print.
    It sure looks nice even with it's couple blemishes but IMO a few to many repeat pics and lacking a few important pics...third seat?, under the car?, etc, etc., Still looks good though.

    In a couple of the pictures, which show the dash (the picture is from a side angle, not a straight-on picture of the instruments...again, as Tedy said...not enough pictures), there is some small pod or something that is attached to the underside of the dash pad. It appears to be directly ahead of the driver, right in front of the instrument panel. I can't figure out what that is. I could see the rear window switch, under the dash pad, but above the A/C panel. The car has front lamp monitors, but those are mounted on the fenders (the 85-90 Park Avenue has the optional monitors mounted in a little pod on top of the dash, where the windshield vents are, but the pod looks similar to the pod mounted under the dash pad on this 80 Estate Wagon). The little pod on this EW is the same color as the dash, so I am assuming (here I go again :)) that it might be something that came with the car, rather than an aftermarket add-on. Can anyone tell me what that is?

    Nice looking car. Nice find, pari. I don't know why they didn't pay for a professional engine detail? They spent the money on an exterior/interior detail...why not the engine bay? The dash pad has a serious problem...I can't determine if it was hit and bent up or just warped...or removed at some time. The dinoc problem happens to be in a spot around the fender right where these usually start to rust. I don't see signs of rust there but it would be worth a look. I like this car but it will need some attention after purchase and the guy is starting at $3000 with reserve not yet attained. I have a feeling he will want big bucks. As usual....Fat and I are in agreement about the selective photography. I have a feeling about this car and would definitely want to see it before I bid on it. I always like to picture a car, after seeing all those little defects, as it probably looked before the glittering detail job. I think it's a nice car for an 80 and these are getting more rare all the time. Still...I think it will go for too much money on good old eBay.

    :rofl:

    Think higher :evilsmile::biglaugh:

    I've had cars (1980 and 1984 Cutlass Supremes and I think my 1986 Caprice Classic, too) that had the crotch vent located below the steering column. This one's above the steering column, in front of the instrument gauges...

    You're talking about that little pod on the underside of the dash pad overhang? I'd say it was a light monitor....

    The company selling this car would NEVER sell a car for me. I've never seen a disclaimer that long in my life. And....is there a description of the vehicle anywhere? Pretty pix but, not the right ones and a lousy ad. No bids so far. I may have gone to look at this car but....thanks to Kev, I will forgo the travel time.:) This is the kind of car you like to find before all the detailing was done and buy it right.:yup:

    Any car I'm forking over a few thousand on is going to be inspected - if not by me, then by someone I trust. Gotta make sure and do your 'due diligence'......

    I keep looking at these 'box' Buick wagons and although I would prefer a nice '81 Bonneville Safari, there are not that many of them around. There seem to be quite a few Buicks left around though. And I really like the Buick instrument panel, door panels and seats....lots classier than the Chevys........

    The Electra's are especially nice, KK. They have the nice wood panel trim around the tops of the interior doors.

    I fully agree that the ad was poorly put together, but it looks like he is a new ebay seller and maybe got carried away on the disclaimer :confused: . He would have done better taking pictures of the underside, underneath the doors and behind the wheels instead of taking pictures of the headlights 4 or 5 times. The discription of the vehicle is on the other page that comes up when you click on one of the pictures (why he makes you hunt for it is beyond me). The discription is VERY small and not very informative.

    I think that it may have not looked that bad before the detail. It looks like it has probably been garaged because the paint shined up very nicely and the interior is not sun scorched. From the lousy pictures, the interior looks to have very minimal wear except the dent in the dash pad. The seats look good and the plastic panels in the cargo area dont look too scratched up. Its hard to tell from the pictures, but I can't see any body rust or prior patchwork. For a 30 year old vehicle (can you believe that 1980 is already 30 years ago), it looks like someone has tried to take good care of it. The price is not too terrible for the condition that it seems to be in. I have seen people trying to get more money for ones that are in worse condition.

    I agree that it looks to be a nice car, pari. Just not sure, from here, if it's a $4400 car. I think I would like to have it and do a few things to it but not with a $4400 start.
