This 1968 Bonneville Station Wagon has only 7,295 original miles! It has been garage kept for the last 42 years. It is in excellent condition and has all its original parts, new tires, electric windows, A/C and heat, and radio. The exterior and interior look like a brand new car. It drives very well. There were only 6,000 produced so you won't find many around especially in this condition. The car was never in an accident, does not have any dents or scratches. I am asking $15,000 but the price is negotiable. The car is in Freehold, NJ and can be seen by appointment only. If you are truly interested please call 732-308-1443. Please no Scammers. Thanks for looking.

Looks good, but being a CL ad, there's not that much you can see. Franky, I'd be VERY skeptical of the claim of a 42 year old car with only 7,300 miles. That's about 174 miles PER YEAR, folks. I did more than that just today......

These only had 5-digit odometers, so I would want to see some kind of running record on the mileage. Also, coming from NJ, a rust check is imperative - I don't care if it was 'garaged' or hermetically sealed on Funk and Wagnels porch.....

there were a lot more than 2000 built in 68 too. with a production of 2000, I would have touched more than 10% of the entire run!! This is what happens when dumb people have access to the internet, and cable TV. Too much Barret Jackson!

Glad to see I'm not the only cynic here! I agree with you guys. Trouble is....there are people out there that will believe anything and will probably buy this car for big bucks.
Hey...I don't EVER believe mileage on a used car. Most of the times it is probably correct but I don't even look at the mileage. You can tell an honest car in 6 seconds from 50 feet.

I don't have the production numbers breakout for '68 Bonnevilles, but for 64,65,66,67 it's 5844; 6460; 8452; 6771 respectively. So his claim of 6000 made could be close. (not 2000)

I'd think it would be pretty easy to look at the car and tell if it was 7k or 107K miles. There should be no wear on the carpet, brake pedal, seat, anything...

It would be harder to tell a 50K from a 150K car...

Either way, I doubt he's going to get anywhere near $15K for it.

6926 Bonneville wagons built for 68. Nice looking wagon, but it really looks like the lower part of the front bumper, below the grilles, has been painted body color. Whats that about?

That part looks normal to me. I think these came with a body-colored valance.

I guess I'm mistaken. It just looked to me in the photo that the sections of the bumper directly below the grilles and headlights, and above the front valance, looked to be painted, with a sharp contrast in color from the chrome vertical parts of the bumper.

There are marker light in the valence. The pic is a little deceptive from the angle it is taken. They do look to be part of the bumper.
