    hello every one.
    I was cruzing YOU-tube tonight and there was one about wagons, which had your web page, so here I am. I just got a 1988 Buick Electra estate wagon with on 91,192 miles. I just did a over 600 miles round trip to get the Buick and I never left the state of Montana.

    the Buick is now my third wagon, I currently own ;

    but I have had 3 other wagons before these.
    if you want to know more about my current collection of bad habits. you can check them out at
    http://www.supermotors.net/registry/22044 . then click on rancheronut.
    I'm close to 50:162: and I have been hauling home car's and truck's, like most guys like to bring home woman. I would love to spend all day in a wrecking yard, than go to a family get together. I would rather call work for sick day ,to play on one of my projects. I would rather spend all day in my therapy room playing on one of my toys, than got out partying.
    any way.i just figure, if there some one else. that like wagons like me, then I had to join up:29:!

    Not too old, it's more like an experience thing:
    You sure need a lot of driving experience to tame that mighty 307 Olds engine.....[IMG]

    After 20 more years you will be ready for the torque of a real Buick engine....[IMG]

    Welcome aboard !!

    I scanned some info for you about the model year 1988 full size Buick Estate Wagons.
    That's a pretty rare wagon, only 5901 were built for that year.
    (The LeSabre Estate Wagon is even rarer with a total production of 5191 cars)

    Wheelbase: 115.9 inches/294,3 cm

    Overall lenght: 220.5 inches/560 cm

    Width: 79.3 inches/201,4 cm

    Height: 59.3 inches/150,6 cm

    Front thread: 62.2 inches/157,9 cm

    Rear thread: 64.0 inches/162,5 cm

    Standard tyres: 225/75/R15

    Petrol tank: 22 US gallons/83,27 litre

    No, you're not old. You've got good taste in Fords too, and good sense to own a few great wagons. :biglaugh::Welcome:

    thanks all;
    no engine swap planned here. uncle buck is going to be my highway cruzer! it can haul parts in the back and get 20 mpg, that better than 10 mpg gallon my 1995 F250 HD S/C gets. i do plan to swap out those slow 2.78 gears for some 3.73 . that way, i can stay in over drive while driving at 75 mph and not work that 200 tranny by shifting in and out of over drive so much on the hills here..

    1. It's about time you found us. I've been watching your wagon threads on FEP.

    2. I see you are branching out. Those Fox wagons won't haul as much as the big Buick.

    3. The car looks so nice yet the tires are white walls on one side and black on the other. Strange.

    4. Yes, you are now old.:D

    5. You have so many now you have to rack and stack, noticing your signature picture.

    :Welcome:

    would you guess, i only paid $300.00 for the buick?
    after being parked for 10 yrs. i check all the fluids and change the engine oil and filter plus replaced the factory installed Delco battery for a sears SUV 800 cold cranking amp battery. then drove uncle buck for 50 miles round trip, to deliver a mustang door and fender to a kid. it runs good, drove nice but now it time for tires , change the rest of the fluids and swap to some 3.73 rear gears .
    the tires will be replace as soon as i can find some 235/70/15 or 225/75/15 with raised white letter tires from Michelin. for my highway ride's they only get the best for shoes.

    Bunkbeds.:evilsmile: I'll bet the city tax department never figured on a 2-storey garage. That is one slick setup you guys.(y)

    A packrat like me, with the Noah's Ark syndrome (two of everything - windshields, rads, etc.) could put a parts bin upstairs on a mezzanine!:D

    Well, I'm really, really jealous, nut. I had an 88 Electra wagon that I dropped a built 455 into and it was cherry. I loved that car. It was my favorite car of all time and it was going to be my last car. Hit a bridge with it and I still think of that car everyday. Had the same wheels yours has. I looked for 2 years for another one and could NOT find one. 2 YEARS! If that car is as cherry as it looks I would kill for it. Even though I don't like white on those too well. Don't let go of that wagon. I think they are one of the best ever built for many reasons.:thumbs2:
