    Welcome...OF, from Clearwater !!!

    Welcome to the forums!!!
I think youll find a wealth if info here as well as encouragement!!!
I'm liking your ride !!! A year isn't that bad...
We spent that stripping out the interior and replacing, insulating, OSPHO(ing) and POR15ing.
The windows will go back in soon...Then we start on the motor...
    It NEVER ends :slap: ...
Then we start on the 83's...
Thinking of comming over to the Old Towne Run in April or May...
Bringing the wagons (Friday Nite Cruise)...
    Welcome and Later (from Clearwater),
    Bruce

    BUTT...What about my engine ???

    Phantom,
So which engine should I be looking at for the Streak???
(it will weigh about 4000lbs in street trim)
    9:1 compression (on reg 87 or 89)
    roller cam
    headers
    dual plane
cast heads 2.02 and 1.85 valves
    AND STREETABLE!!! (without overheating)
Tires will be 27.5in. and gear is a 3.43 posi(7.5")
700R4 tranny, with whatever stall 2000-2200(my understanding)
Help me out here...I like the LS stuff, but it's too much money...
    Thanks,
    Later,
    Bruce

    How about a 572 ???

I only want to drive it...Not adopt another six mouths, to feed.
    Had a 454 in 76 (73 Vette), what a pig !!! 250hp and 9mpg.
    Sad...very sad!!!
I love the LT1s but they are NOT particularly kind around the gas pumps either.
At least they have a decent amount of grunt at 6500.
Come on... Help me out here...
    COMMITT...(since you poo-pooed the stroker)
    Later,
    Bruce
