Sweet window van, just cause I lust after wagons, vans, disco choppers and International Harvester products doesn't make me nuts....just better than all the 69 camaro lovers out there! I love the emoticons and abuse on this forum, I'm staying.
Watch for HandyAndy and Old Timer's emoticons. Don't know where they get them, but some are wild!!! Never did understand why GM made the floors accomodate the dual mufflers on Camaros and F-Birds. I thought that cars were for people, not chiropractic sessions. Gawd that was awful. I had a couple Vans. I got over it, after I got into wagons. They flip too easily in high crosswinds. My V8 Corvair pickup was an exception. It wanted to do backflips instead of wheelies!
When I was a kid my Dad switched from vans to wagons through the 70's and 80's, with 4 kids they were all that fit us! All the years in bands I had vans, the wagon will be for me and my bass and for taking the family on weekenders to the island etc. (unfortunutly with our seatbelt laws they can't build a fort in the back like we did as kids)
My neighbour has a band and a van for the same reasons. His buddies come over and practice in his sound-shack, and leave their gear for him to haul to the gigs. Sometimes a wag just ain't enough.
That's what I tell my wife, gotta have both! Check this beauty out, pricey but pretty cool. http://www.goodusedcars.ca/1965 Mercury Comet.htm
Yes to both. Check out the Rev's fleet and use something like KIJIJI for Montana or the Dakotas. Lots of rust-free bargains. We just got nailed with a new twist on imported cars in the MAR -Most At Risk category. If they are MAR, they don't get registered without the new Immobilizers. Older cars don't get a discount, and those guys have no respect for vintage/classic cars. Big dollars. I don't think BC does that, yet.
