With the 'inset' area around the vent openings color-matched to the body? That would look bitchin'.

That really bites, But at least your still safe and your wagon is still repairable. Dont feel bad about working on the ti rods int he cold. I had to change the whole steering linkage both tirods and the idle arm in 11.3 degree weather. luckily they came apart nicely. Glad to hear you ok and thinking of ways to make it better. How fast were you going? just out of curiosity of course...

I would imagine that with thermal shrinkage, the ball studs should separate easier at 11 degrees than 90 degrees. Something to help offset the cold, fumbly finger factor. :D

Glad to hear you've got it sorted out, Phantom. (y)

Man I did the same with my 81 Plymouth Caravelle (non wagon) Cliped a sign post and bent the upper ball joint. Changed it in -20 weather.
Another sad story is at my dart league the barmaid had a 1980 Diplomat wagon. It is her husbands. He had it all done up with cragars and hood scoop. He tore up the town with it. It was his baby.
Well the bad part is this new year. He was driving down a exit ramp when some guy in a truck came up the off ramp and decided to turn around in front of his wagon. No time to stop. He totalled his wagon. He is buying it back from the insurance and will later be in the market for another wagon of that style to tranfer his engine and parts over to.
I did not see the damage. She told me about it. She said they need to sell their Jeep first to have some money for finding a decent project wagon to fix up.

try these phantom, i bought my baby moons off them, they are very affordable compared to the "big names" like american racing and weld.

my moons were $65 per, and the other styles don't get a lot more expensive . and i bought them through summit. had them in 24 hrs. (course it doesn't hurt that i'm less than an hour from summit)
