...but you all ready knew that:p

So our weather man was wrong and POURED rain all day. I never noticed this trend of mine but others at work pointed it out. I love my wagon and I love my 65 truck but I was asked..."Why do you drive your truck only on the ugliest days?" I blerted out "I don't want to wreak my wagon!"

    They think I'm nuts....they just don't understand:rofl2:

Yup:p. I can buy anything for my truck (reprodution) yet when it comes to my beater wagon I'm S O L. I cant imagine what it's like for the guys who have true clasic wagons, and having to search for parts if needed

I'm thinking Body, glass etc...the wagon stuff.
When I had my Fox Marquis I saw "stuff" alot for the car and still do but nothing for this wagon....kinda makes me worry.

Well.....do you need stuff now? Are you talking used? Probably aren't a whole lot of Cutlass wagons around that year. Still....I wouldn't think it is REAL rare. Trouble you have, I think, is your location maybe.

I know what you mean. The truck guys might not, but they have their own forum to talk about weird wagon owners.

I have the '57 tucked away duing this really really wet weather and we have a truck we use, but it has never towed our trailer. We use the wagon (so far) exclusively to haul the trailer, do all of our spring/summer/fall travel. Many of our non-car friends think we have lost at least some of our marbles suggesting that we should be "saving" the car. Sick people in my view.

Most people just don't realize that there were fewer wagons built to start with, thus parts unique to them are harder to locate, they were often just stripped and crushed when they were considered old, and they are our babies. My truck I can easily replace but my car, it just wouldn't happen.

    I always hear...
..."Why don you drive the car in the garage??...its beautiful!! "
I can never make them understand that i like my 'rusty junk' better:rofl2:

Not quite true Teddy...the parts n stuff for a G body wagon are still fairly available...Its just hard to find the OLDS stuff...they are more common in the USA than here...here it was all Malibu and Pontiac;)

I get all kinds of funny looks for driving my wagon around. Mostly its because of the style of vehicle and my age combined. There is also the people who call me crazy for driving it all the time. Im with ya guys!

Im called nuts by people for even thinking about owning a stationwagon. I dont have any wife, no gf and no kids so what is the point ??? Its a friggin wagon of all things, not a Camero, or a Mustang or even a Chevelle Super Sport, its a mommy-mobile.

All the more reason to own a classic stationwagon. Own something nobody else has. Thats my excuse
