well...you guys are gonna hate me if i ever get off my arse !! my 65 Comet 202 wagon......thats why i bought it....its gonna get a straight axle !!!.....goin ol school gasser with her ...... I may even alter the wheel base..
Hey Rev, it is your car and you could be just as disappointed that I didn't do the same to the Safari. We each do to our cars what makes us feel good when we look at them and drive them. It's when I see one that is slapped together, not particularly well thought out, and makes the actual car look derelict that it bothers me. Or that's my take on it.... Barry
I agree, Barry. The gasser style may not be my thing, but I think it looks soooooooo much better than a belly dragger with 22" wheels.
very true Barry do you recall that red 51 chev done up gasser style that was bombing around last year ...(for about 2 months)...till the MVI guys saw it !! it looked not bad from a distance....but was just a toilet !!... ...it is a shame when someone butchers a car !!
I missed that car Rev. We didn't do a whole lot locally last year. Most of our year was out camping somewhere either south of the border of in the interior. I'm glad they pull cars off the road that are not done safely. It's just too easy to hurt someone, get bad press, and then all of us in old cars are culprits. Barry
actually..now that I think of it ....that would have been the last year of the Java Hut cruise nites....time flies when you get old and ya...i only saw you a couple times this year...White Rock swap...and somewhere else...sounds like you had a fun year tho
are you talkin about a wagon or a coupe rev ,,,if its one i,m thinkin of i know where that one wound up goin to if its the same car
If was built in the Gasser days, that was the styyle back then. And getting even more popular now. Mikey www.Mikeyspinstriping.com "does bad things to good cars"
seeking a wagon I know this an old thread but has any one seen this car? Any one know where the pic was taken? Do you know the owner? it says for sale... Thanks
