Hey guys - I was wondering why I haven't heard from our friend Bill. I tried calling him repeatedly with no response. His phone was turned off so I decided to do a little snooping around and I found this. Bill divided his time between ABQ and Scottsdale. I am heartbroken about this, because he'd stop up my garage sometimes with a different new acquisition and take my son and I for a ride. https://www.tributearchive.com/obituaries/43750878/william-john-lemen
Even though I didn't know him personally, he was a source of humor and knowledge. I'm very sad as well.
Always a pleasure to have a back-and-forth with him in the posts. Wish I had got to know him better.......
Oh no! This is terrible news! What a gut punch. The last text message I have from him is from May. We were discussing a continental kit on the back of a Ford Skyliner at a car show. Bill came out here a number of years ago and hung out with the boys and I and attended a car show in 2022. Before he ever met us in person he sent each of my boys a 1:64 version of the vehicles they would inherit. For no other reason other than that is just the kind of guy he was. Nathaniel received a blue 1964 Plymouth Fury that he put on display in his room. Caleb received a 1969 Ford F-100. He loves that truck and carried it with him virtually everywhere for the next couple of years. The paint on every one of it's corners has worn down to the bare metal from so much use and coming in and out of his pocket. Bill was such a warm, engaging and generous man. Even though we only met him once in person, he had a profound impact on the boys and I. Dammet This is sad. He will be missed God Speed Bill. Rest in peace.
