Hey y’all, anyone want to share thoughts on personal experience with ACC carpets? I have some samples on the way and am deciding between loop or pile material. Also considering paying the extra for mass backing. Been reading up on other forums and I really don’t see a downside to it.

    I have worked with both.
The mass-backed is heavier and I think it is a little more difficult to "fit" smoothly, but I think the mass-backed is worth it.
If you are doing deadener spray or layer of deadener film directly to the floor pans, you could potentially forego the mass-backing.

That’s kinda what I’m debating. I was going to put down deadener but for the same cost I could just get the mass backing. It seems most posts I’ve read say it’s worth it. I think I’ll go with it.
As far as the loop vs pile, I’ll see what the samples look like. Not set on keeping everything 100% original but the loop would look more period correct anyway.
