Hi, it's me again. I intruduced myself yesterday but don't think that went over very well so I thought I'd try again today. For those of you that didn't see, I did apolagize on the thread WTF new members so those that didn't see it I'll say it again, I'm sorry. I don't want anybody thinking I'm some kind of an a- oppps. Almost said the A word again, got to watch that. That would have gotten me kicked off of here for sure! Anyway my first car was a 66 Mustang that I bought in 92. My first wagon was a 63 Chevy impala which I bought in 98. Next came a 59 Chevy nomad and no the nomad didn't have 2 doors in 59. 57 was the last year for the 2 door Nomad. I then bought a 59 Pontiac in 99 which is now just a parts car and then a 57 chevy bel-air which I just sold this spring. Needs a good paint job and a little TLC. The guy that bought it, says he's going to turn it into a 2 door wagon. Sounds interesting. I now have 2 more 59 Pontiac safari wagons which are both 9 pass. One in which I'm trying to sell and anouther I hope to have on the road by spring but most likely won't be until late summer if that. I plan on keeping her indefenate. I tryed to up load a picture of her but can't for some reason. :confused:I can't figure out why I can the Chevy and not the Pontiac. I never uploaded this picture on this forum before. Oh well, try and show it to you all anouther time.
60vetter Looks like we both had rough days,So accept my Apologizes along with a fresh start. Welcome to our Forums if you need help uploading photo's just ask. I use photobucket myself because I can make my own html links for thumbnails.
Much gooder, welcome to the site and glad you stuck around. I myself have been sick with the flu and feeling real bad tempered this past week. Its all water under the bridge that we just burned.
Here is a picture of my other 59 safari I was having trouble uploading yesterday. hope to have her running, all fixed up and on the road by summer.
Hey Mike, glad you put a fresh intro up. No lockdown yet!...safari sagoodi! Nice Pontiacs...love the aggressive-looking split grille and wide-track stance of that year. David
keeping it pretty much original. It was a very light shade of blue. I think I'll have a little bit darker shade of blue but with a white top. I always did like 2 tone. Never was a big fan on custom steel wheels so I'm going with original hub caps from that year. Engine and trans will remain stock as well. If I was to alter something, the engine+trans would be it, to make it more economical as she's only going to get no more than 10 MPG, but I feel the engine's the sole of the car and besides, gas is cheap!
60 I peed myself laffin at your 1st intro as...apparently ...I am the KING of Accidental Piss off heres some inspiration...this is my buddy's Poncho
