    Beautiful car......

With TWO 4-barrel carburetors on the high-power 413 cubic-inch V8, your local gas station owner is going to LOVE you........
    .........................................................................................................................................

And about those whitewalls. The '61 Chrysler brochure is showing what I think are 2" whitewalls on the cars. For me, these 3" ones are a bit much. Personally, I think it would look fine with some 1" whitewalls.......

Wide whites go with wire wheels. Skinny ones wouldn't look right.

No discussion to be had. Of course you're just a kid and we can't expect you to know any better. :)

I thought wide whites were correct thru 61 and the narrower bands came in 62. Remember wide whites on Caddies thru mid 60s.

Actually, I think whitewall width changed mid year in ‘61. I have a Sedan Deville with the original spare, wide white. Car was build in late’60 and delivered in January of ‘61. By the spring of ‘61 the whitewall width had shrunk. In 1962 Studebaker was still using the wide whites, at least on the GT Hawk

Appearances can be deceiving...... That pic ( <------- ) was taken about 13 years ago. It's possible I could be older than YOU.

If you are 83, then you win the Wilkie button.

I saw the 70 and figured you posted that when you joined. I added 13 (the age of your picture) to come up with 83.
    I'm only 76.

    Beautiful car. I love it.
Wide whites look perfect on this car. And they look awesome on other cars too, some that where made after 62 even.
