The factory power sunroof should be a good selling point: rare option in 1979.

The rear window, i always thought was cool.
I know when i was in 9th grade in 1979 i wasn't looking at these on the lot, but I too, think this is a nice car.

A gal I went to high school with, a year ahead of me, had a '79 in blue/blue/blue. She totally adored that car, and took super care of it.

I just lament that all the 'hardtops' were killed off. GM's last one was in '76; Ford's last one was in '74 (I think), and Chrysler's last one was in '78.

That sounds about Krash. For rigidity sake I like a sedan, but man you couldn’t beat hardtop style. I especially liked it on the Mercury and Chrysler wagons in the late ‘50’s early ‘60’s

It most certainly is. That same "hot wire, bent glass" technology was also used on my '77 and '78 Toronados.

Yeah don’t remember a whole lot of stuff past 1993-4ish that got me too excited. I liked the mid ‘80’s cars especially, as I think they really had a nice confluence of good style and taste, and pretty good quality. Loved the ‘85 LeSabre, and ‘86 Grand Marquis. The full size Pontiac, Chevy, Olds models were stunning too! Wish I could go back for a couple of shopping days. I’d never need another new car again. Lol

SOLD for $17,857. I would call that fair due to the rarity, the high options and the good condition.
